About the project:

The Bergen School Revues initiative is designed to promote young people’s creative potential, foster inclusive school environments, and strengthen the sense of community among upper secondary school students in Bergen. The project provides young people with a professional platform for achievement, self-expression, and participation, while also developing skills such as collaboration, creative problem-solving, responsibility, and leadership.

The purpose of this project is to establish a sustainable and structured model for skills development and knowledge transfer aimed at the young people involved in the school revues. Together, we aim to create a cultural platform that Bergen can be proud of – one where young people take centre stage and the local community comes together.

The project is led by Ole Bull Scene/OBS UNG AS, in close collaboration with the upper secondary schools in Bergen. The team includes professional directors, photographers, and producers, supported by a broad network of mentors comprising experienced performing arts professionals, technical experts, and creative practitioners.

At the heart of the project is the Skills and Competence Platform, bringing together leading mentors and professionals in comedy, writing, directing, scenography, sound, lighting, technical production, costume design, marketing, finance, organisation, and leadership.

The Bergen School Revues are more than a cultural initiative. They represent an investment in young people, inclusion, and the future of sustainable local communities. The project will give young people genuine influence and opportunities to shape their own creative environment, create lasting value, and strengthen Bergen’s position as a vibrant and creative city where young voices are given both space and significance.

About the organisation:

Ole Bull Scene has established a separate company, OBS UNG AS. The company has a non-profit purpose and aims to help create a platform that promotes young people’s creativity and ensures that young voices are heard in society. OBS UNG AS has its own organisation number, budget, and accounts. All funding received for the initiative will be managed through OBS UNG AS.

The project will have a dedicated Project Manager from Ole BUll Scene AS who will oversee the project from start to finish. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring progress, coordinating with the participating schools and their principals, organising mentor sessions, and developing the Skills and Competence Platform.

In addition, a student will be involved in the project, focusing on communication and, in particular, the development of a communication platform designed to effectively reach and engage young people. The student will contribute on a voluntary basis as part of a mentorship programme.
